Fish

Our Fleet

We have always had an undeniable love for the ocean. what started as a passion quickly became a lifestyle, we went from being salty surfers and divers to being fisherman who are of the salt & sea. Growing up spearfishing our knowledge of rod and reel was novice at best, alternatively our knowledge of boats and the sea has imbedded by generations of seamen before us (yeah, we said seamen) it was only a matter of time before the bloodline and the passion became part of the same breath.

Fishing is one of those industries where no one really wants to help you find your way, there were plenty of times where it felt like it might be easier to buy fish then to bring it in ourselves. We did not give up, we obtained the permits we needed and made a few awesome friends along the way that continue to share their lifelong knowledge with us. When it comes to the bounty of the pacific nothing is as important as sustainability, a term far too loosely used in the seafood industry. Fact is nothing in fishing is more sustainable than hook and line rod and reel. We wanted to create a way for people to follow their fish from the hook to the table, from the pacific, to plate. What is more traceable than knowing your fisherman by name? Or watching your fish be plucked out of the ocean? We continue to fish for our community year round, rain or shine, so you can always feel good about where your food came from.

Throughout the tricky months of 2020, we have navigated and pivoted in ways we never thought we would have to, in order to continue to provide our neighborhood with the freshest fish. We developed what we call our “unconventional seafood market” where we are able to sell our fresh caught fish whole, or filleted for our customers to enjoy at home. Through even the toughest times we want our neighborhood to know they always have a reliable source of sustainably caught fresh seafood.

Rod and reel fisheries we are part of, and species we target :

Highly migratory species: tuna, yellowtail, bonito, dorado

Sharing the Bounty

Once word got out about our small, hook and line fishing fleet, we started to pick up momentum in the wholesale realm, providing fish to other restaurants and chefs who only wanted to work with the most sustainably sourced fish from the Pacific. So far we have partnered with  Republique, The Tasting Kitchen, Caravan Swim Club at The Hotel June, and Mirame.
